Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Her Travel Circle. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
Her Travel Circle (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based platform that connects members around the world who are interested in hosting, travelling, and sharing accommodation. We are a connection platform only. We do not provide accommodation, arrange stays, or act as a travel agency.
2. Our Role
Her Travel Circle exists solely to connect members. We do not:
- Own, manage, or control any property listed on the platform
- Arrange or manage any stays
- Act as an agent, broker, or intermediary in agreements between members
- Guarantee the behaviour, safety, or suitability of any user
Any arrangement made between members is entirely independent of Her Travel Circle.
3. Membership
To use the platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and honest information
- Use the platform in a respectful and lawful way
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile and for any activity carried out through your account. We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account at our discretion, particularly where safety, misuse, or breaches of these Terms are involved.
4. Profiles and Content
You are responsible for any content you post, including profile information, messages, and listings. By using the platform, you confirm that:
- The information you provide is truthful and not misleading
- You have the right to share any content you upload
- Your content does not infringe on the rights of others
We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Arrangements Between Members
All arrangements made through Her Travel Circle are strictly between members. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Accommodation stays
- Travel plans
- Any agreements or expectations between host and guest
We are not a party to any agreement between members and accept no responsibility for the outcome of any arrangement.
6. Payments
Her Travel Circle does not handle or facilitate payments between members. If a host chooses to request a contribution towards costs, this must be made clear in their listing and is arranged entirely off-platform. We are not responsible for:
- Any payments made between members
- Disputes relating to money
- Refunds, cancellations, or financial disagreements
Any subscription or membership fee paid to Her Travel Circle is separate and relates only to access to the platform.
7. User Responsibility
By using the platform, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for your decisions, interactions, and arrangements
- You choose who you communicate with and stay with at your own discretion
- You are responsible for taking appropriate safety precautions
Her Travel Circle does not conduct background checks and does not guarantee the identity, intent, or behaviour of any member.
8. Safety and Risk
Use of the platform involves interacting with other individuals and, in some cases, staying in private homes. By using Her Travel Circle, you accept that:
- You do so entirely at your own risk
- We are not responsible for personal injury, loss, damage, or disputes
- We are not responsible for cancellations, changes in plans, or unmet expectations
We strongly encourage all members to communicate clearly and make informed decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Her Travel Circle shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
- Any personal injury, loss, damage, or theft
- Any disputes or issues between members
- Any arrangements made outside the platform
Our total liability, in any circumstance, is limited to the amount you have paid to us for use of the platform.
10. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party providers (such as payment processors or hosting services). We are not responsible for the services, policies, or actions of third parties.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the platform at any time, without notice, where we believe it is necessary to protect the platform or its members.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. If you are accessing the platform from outside the UK, you are responsible for complying with local laws where applicable.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are made constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Her Travel Circle – Liability Waiver & Release Agreement

This Liability Waiver and Release Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Her Travel Circle, a sole proprietorship based in Scotland (“we”, “us”, “our”), and you as a user of the platform (“you”, “host”, or “guest”). By accessing or using Her Travel Circle, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement.
1. Nature of the Platform
Her Travel Circle is a subscription-based platform that facilitates connections between individuals who wish to host or be hosted. We do not:
- Own, manage, or control any property
- Arrange, organise, or manage stays
- Act as an agent, broker, or intermediary
- Verify, screen, or guarantee any user
- Participate in or enforce any agreements between users
All arrangements are made independently between members.
2. Independent User Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for your decisions, actions, and interactions
- You choose who you communicate with, meet, or stay with at your own discretion
- Any agreement between you and another user is entirely independent of Her Travel Circle
3. Use at Your Own Risk
Your use of the platform is entirely voluntary and at your own risk. You understand that interacting with other individuals and staying in private accommodation involves inherent and unpredictable risks.
4. Assumption of Risk
You voluntarily accept full responsibility for all risks associated with using the platform, including but not limited to:
- Personal injury, illness, or death
- Theft, loss, or damage to personal property
- Damage to property belonging to others
- Misconduct, negligence, or unlawful acts of other users
- Miscommunication, misunderstandings, or unmet expectations
- Travel disruptions, cancellations, or changes to plans
- Financial arrangements, contributions, or disputes between users
- Any events occurring before, during, or after a stay or interaction
5. No Responsibility for Arrangements or Outcomes
Her Travel Circle is not a party to any agreement between users. We are not responsible for:
- The conduct, reliability, or actions of any member
- The safety, condition, or suitability of any accommodation
- Any arrangements made between users
- Any payments, contributions, or financial exchanges
- Cancellations, delays, or changes to plans
- Any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from user interactions
6. Payments and Financial Responsibility
Her Travel Circle does not handle or facilitate payments between users. Any financial contribution or agreement is made directly between members and entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any financial loss, disputes, or non-payment.
7. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge Her Travel Circle and its owner from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of the platform
- Your interactions with other users
- Any arrangements, travel, or accommodation experiences
This includes, without limitation, claims relating to personal injury, illness, death, property damage, financial loss, emotional distress, or any other form of loss.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Her Travel Circle and its owner from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the platform
- Your actions or omissions as a host or guest
- Any breach of these Terms or applicable laws
- Any dispute or legal action involving another user
9. Insurance
Her Travel Circle maintains its own business insurance where required. However, this insurance does not extend to users, their activities, or any arrangements made between members. You are solely responsible for obtaining any appropriate insurance, including but not limited to:
- Travel insurance
- Health insurance
- Personal liability insurance
- Property insurance
10. Third-Party Interactions
Any communication, agreement, or interaction between you and another user is entirely independent of Her Travel Circle. We are not responsible for any outcome resulting from such interactions, whether they occur on or off the platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Her Travel Circle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of income or opportunity
- Loss of data
- Business interruption
- Reputational damage
Our total liability in any circumstance shall be limited to the amount you have paid to Her Travel Circle for access to the platform.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By using Her Travel Circle, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood this Agreement
- You accept all risks associated with using the platform
- You agree to be bound by this Liability Waiver and Release Agreement
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the platform.
